For this project, I used again the Emotional Circle, a concept I've developed based on the Valence/Arousal Circle, to understand the emotion of each scene, and the Circle of Fifths, to translate these emotions into Music (see image below).
The result is a Music and Sound Effects narrative that keeps up with the pace of the immersive journey. Each part of the project has its emotion fully translated into Music, enhancing the gameplay and making the experience even more interesting.

What happens when museums can no longer show their collections and instead need to hide them?
What does it mean to be a street artist when your city is bombed?
What does it take to be a musician when your country is attacked?
"You Destroy. We Create." takes you on a 25-minute immersive journey through the war-torn country, where artists and professionals from the cultural sphere are busy protecting, rebuilding and creating art.
This topical journalistic piece uses a combination of 360°/180° stereo videos, drone footage, photogrammetry scans and CG animations to bring you an emotionally engaging, urgent human story.
Music and Sound Effects are an essential part of the narrative.
For this project, I used the Emotional Circle, a concept I've developed based on the Valence/Arousal Circle, to understand the emotion of each scene, and the Circle of Fifths, to translate these emotions into Music (see image below).
The result is a Music narrative that keeps up with the pace of the immersive journey. Each part of the project has its emotion fully translated into Music, enhancing the history and making things even more poignant.
The concept started with the root note of "Russia is a terrorist state", a song created and performed by Ukrainian artist Tucha. From there, all emotions are correlated with harmonies and chord progressions connected to each one of the scenes.

ALIPH AR is an augmented reality app that accompanies the photo exhibition “Protecting heritage to build peace” from the International Alliance to protect heritage in conflict areas (ALIPH).
You can explore and interact with 3D models in AR, amongst other features. The app has both English and French language options.
-Trigger AR panels to place, move, scale, rotate, and explore 3D renders of cultural heritage sites.
-Trigger AR panels to watch videos about ALIPH’s projects.
-Explore panels for images and text to learn more about the projects and people supported by ALIPH. This AR app complements a physical photo installation.
Together, they form an immersive exhibition that tells the story of how heritage has been, and continues to be, a collateral victim of conflict and, increasingly, a target or a weapon of war. It also testifies to how protecting heritage in countries in conflict or post-crisis situations can generate hope, initiate intercultural and interreligious dialogue, strengthen sustainable economic and social development, and build peace. Finally, we are reminded of our shared humanity by witnessing the beauty of some of the world’s heritage through this immersive exhibit.
This app contains both a location-based mode that can be used at the physical exhibition, as well as an at-home, standalone mode that can be experienced anywhere. Download the app and scan the augmented reality markers on the panels to reveal extra information including 3D models of protected cultural locations and videos.
This app is free to use and offers links to learn more about ALIPH and to donate to the Foundation.

How does someone with depression perceive the world?
Director and protagonist Ondřej guides us through diverse landscapes associating the story of his struggle with depression since puberty.
We share his feelings during the first depressive episodes on a family trip in his childhood, at university when striving for perfect results, and at work in his everyday fights with the depressive “darkening”.
Through animation, combining a stylized form of Ondřej’s environment and abstract images of his emotions, the viewers will experience and understand what it is like to live with this illness, how to tackle it and what mechanisms are used by people with depression to feel better.
For this project, I used the Emotional Circle, a concept I've developed based on the Valence/Arousal Circle, to understand the emotion of each scene, and the Circle of Fifths, to translate these emotions into Music (see image below).
Most of the interactions are voice-controlled. The main character finds out that his tool to get the depression under control is his voice. He uses humming, singing and even shouting as a calming and relieving technique.
A unique immersive experience for Oculus Quest that was nominated for Best Experience at Venice Film Festival 2022.

How would Berlin look, sound, smell and feel with friendlier mobility infrastructure?
In Berlin 2037, a teenage girl with a radical desire to change society invites you to hop on a VR-enabled bicycle and ride into her utopia.
This project requires lots of research and field recording, as we're dealing with real places and their transformations in the future.
So, how does a place like Hallesches Tor sounds today?
Field recording, sound effect reinforcement, ambience, and noises.
Everything is there.
And how will it sound in 2037?
Will there be electric cars? The sound pollution is still high in the area? How will the U-Bahn sound in the future? What is the city's aspiration regarding noise, sound, ambience and environment?
Everything must be thoroughly discussed, researched and implemented. Music also plays an essential part in the project, as we're creating an aspiration for the future. What is it that you want to listen to in 2037? How can we evoke emotions for something that hasn't happened yet, but still needs to be imprinted in our minds?

Going back 100 years in a split second – right into the lively Berlin of the legendary roaring twenties:
To Pariser Platz at the Brandenburg Gate.
Thanks to VR technology, you’ll find yourself not only on the sidelines but right in the midst of the ‘real’ Berlin of the 1920s.
An immersive experience made in Unreal Engine 4 that puts travellers back in Berlin in 1928.
Throughout virtual reality time travel, you can witness historical events, immerse yourself in countless everyday scenes and meet famous personalities who truly lived in Berlin in the 1920s.
The audio, sound and ambiences in this experience are incredibly immersive and genuinely transport users back in time.
The sound design has a wide range of authentic sounds from the era, such as the clanging of tram cars, the chatter of street vendors, and the bustle of the city streets. The positional audio allows users to turn their heads and hear different sounds coming from different directions, making it feel like they are there.
The ambient sounds are also expertly crafted and recorded, with a seamless blend of background noises that perfectly captures the atmosphere of the time. Using vintage recordings and soundscapes added an extra layer of authenticity to the experience.
Overall, the audio and sound design in this VR experience makes it an incredibly immersive and engaging experience.

Imagine taking a Virtual Reality experience out of its virtuality and placing it in the real world, yet still keeping all its virtual world elements. It's a mixed reality set in a room where interactions should happen as in a regular VR experience.
However, people get into it without any goggles or headphones.
This was the challenge faced by the Riverside Studios/Lucha Libre Audio team in Berlin for the XR Room experience developed by NEEEU for Factory Berlin.
NEEEU is one of the most renowned design studios in town.
Factory Berlin is Europe’s most prominent international innovation community and co-working space, gathering creative people and helping them thrive with their ideas and concepts.
NEEEU implemented eight projectors in a big room so that people could interact with the experience in real life.
Our first challenge was correctly adding sound and music to a presentation for VR elements. The solution was building a 64-speakers array behind fake walls and implementing all audio in Ambisonics.

In 2015 Maestro Billy moved to Germany in search of different perspectives for his work.
In his constant need to enhance and upgrade his production skills, in 2016, Billy specialized in Audio for Video Games and VR through Berklee College of Music. Also, this move significantly benefits his 25-year expertise in DJing and producing due to this different mix of Europe's electronic scene with the Brazilian way of playing, composing and creating.
In 2017 Maestro Billy released “Commute”, an album that mixes Chillout, Lounge, Techno, Pop and Dance Music based entirely on Sound Design.
By recording street sounds in cities such as London, Berlin, Amsterdam and Lisbon, Billy created a unique concept by making music out of these, but in a way to make people dance and enjoy.
The internet, digital tools and video games have brought new possibilities to the musical scene.
Virtual reality has a close relationship with sound. Music and sound effects are an essential complement to the whole game environment.
In addition to all the work in Virtual Reality, in 2017 and 2018, he hosted workshops at the city of Berlin's leading festival of art and music, the 'Maerzmusik - Berliner Festspiele'. He talked about music, society and the main developments in this relationship, and a "hands on" with the students who recorded, edited and sounded a game.
In 2019 he started experimental works with Audio generated by Artificial Intelligence, releasing albums on musical platforms and co-founded the startup LAIFE, which focused on developing sounds to relieve mental problems such as insomnia, anxiety and depression.

“Alexa, good morning”. As said millions of times, this command has become increasingly popular in all corners of Brazil. But since 02.07.2022, the response from Amazon's artificial intelligence has been different:
An invitation to an experience, the launch of the New BMW iX3.
BMW do Brasil conceived the action with Ogilvy Brasil and collaborated with Amazon Alexa for the execution. The launch included the possibility of a virtual test drive, which works as follows: people can get to know the car using a voice command on any Echo device or via the Alexa app.
The audio is binaural, with sounds from the right and left sides of the earpiece for a sense of reality. The audio recording and making took place at BMW Welt, in Munich, by Lucha Libre Audio, with my recording, which made everything more intimate and real for the experience.
BMW intends to offer and communicate to consumers the possibility of getting to know the car through “Voice-Drive BMW”. So, it is possible to check the sound of the window opening, the rear windshield working, the front panel, and all the sounds from inside a vehicle. In addition, all sound stimuli are emitted from different directions, like an acoustic 360˚ from inside the iX3, reproducing a sensation from the driver's seat. The sound is also adapted according to the climate in the user's location.
“We managed to extend to all people the possibility of test driving the new 100% electric BMW iX3 from your home, or with your phone, through an experience that is not only immersive, but also geolocated. We cross several APIs such as weather forecast, music choice, among other possibilities, bringing a fully customized experience. The sound of the iX3 will surprise you”, highlights the CCO of Ogilvy Brasil, Sergio Mugnaini.
The campaign debuted on July 2, running for the next six months.

Restructured in monolithic architecture, the products now carry the main brand in their name. With Escher as a reference, Mano Pimentel, from Estúdio Pimp, created a three-dimensional alphabet. From the collaboration with John, from Firmorama, came the algorithm for creating art for new brands and products and a package of visual assets for use in communication.
